I am, frankly, tired of your threats and your curses. Your attitude is that you are incapable of making any error in judgment and you presume a great deal.

Take heed that no man deceive you.
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

roadtozion now you show yourself a judge, and nowhere did I curse you.
1 John 4:2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
KNOW YOUR ENEMY! IF THEY CAN'T CONFESS:
"I CONFESS JESUS CHRIST IS COME IN THE FLESH"
YOU "KNOW" THEY ARE THE ENEMY

Sure, GOINGUP, I made a judgement, based on what I saw and read. We are COMMANDED to judge those who claim to be brethren.

Did you not do the same to me??

Or is it only 'showing yourself a judge' if I disagree with you, but not if you disagree with me?

Now, tell me - when you say

Also anyone claiming I am a FALSE SPIRIT

IS BLASPHEMING THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD

See I might Question if someone is a Christian on this board.

But I would never claim

WE KNOW WHO THE FALSE SPIRIT ON THIS BOARD IS.

SINCE YOU HAVE SAID THAT AND ANYONE STANDING IN

AGREEANCE WITH THAT STATEMENT.

THE LORD MOST SEVERELY REBUKE THEE!!!!!!!

HOPEFULLY THAT'S ALL GOD WILL DO!

just what are you saying here?? You say "See I might Question if someone is a Christian on this board." Are you implying that I - or anyone else on this board - is not a 'Christian'? Are you not judging?

FYI the 'false spirit' anywhere is and always is, satan, whether on this board or anywhere else.

Despite your statement "But I would never claim WE KNOW WHO THE FALSE SPIRIT ON THIS BOARD IS." do you not imply that the 'false spirit' is me - or whoever does not agree with your own views??

I never said - ever - that you were, in your words, "a FALSE SPIRIT". And even if I had, that would NOT be blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. Sorry, but you are not Jesus.

And you can and are wrong - frequently. Just like the rest of us.

Calling down the rebuke of God on someone IS a curse, whether you see it as such or not. You seem to think you have a right to do that whenever you like. Just as you seem to think that you can judge anyone else, but they cannot judge you.

Well, God has NOT rebuked me, and I frankly do not expect Him to. If He wants to rebuke you for you words (and I am not saying He will), that's His business, not mine.

Now, look five posts back ... no, even better I will do it again.

I confess (and do not deny, but confess) that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh.

By your own criteria, I am not false, or I could not do that.

It is true that, if a prophet foretells something that fails to come to pass, he is a false prophet (Deuteronomy 18:20-22),
It always amazes me when people use Deuteronomy 18:22 in a very simplistic manner. Does't anyone know their Bible?

The Bible says that God sent Jonah to prophesy that Nineveh would would be overthrown in 40 days. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN! IT FAILED TO COME TO PASS! Should Jonah have been stoned as a false prophet??

II Kings 20:1 In those days Hezekiah became mortally ill. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him and said to him, "Thus says the LORD, "Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.'''

Now we know that Hezekiah DID NOT DIE, but prayed (II Kings 20:2-5) and God added 15 years to his life. Isaiah is a FALSE PROPHET according to the "words shall never fail" doctrine. His words above DID fail to come to pass. Should Isaiah have been stoned as a false prophet?? Or as it says in verse 22 that we should ignore him??? Good God! If we used this silly/simplistic test as some would have it, we would have to ignore one of the greatest of the Old Testament prophets.

There are many more examples. What is so hard to understand that some prophetic words are conditional upon the response of the recipients? People of Nineveh repent, the city was not overthrown. Hezekiah cried out to God for mercy, he did not die. Etc., etc.

Regarding false prophets...I remember a scripture that talked about prophets and how God desired that they speak the Word, that it was strong and better than sharing dreams and visions. But I can't find it right now. If anyone finds it, will they post it, please.

All spirits are to be tested. There was a prophecy on here by a little girl about what was to come and at the end of the prophecy, someone asked her what to do and she said something like "be good". That sent major bells and whistles off for me. Jesus did not command us to be good. He told us to repent. Things like this give away many of these prophecies.

The truth is this: you can look to the Word and you can see clearly what is going to happen. We don't really "need" dreams and visions that are sort of vague and then sort of specific. Really we don't. The word is enough. Now, I know that God said He'd pour His spirit out and people would have dreams and visions. I've had a few of my own.

But, so many of these dreams and visions are iffy, in my opinion. Not that I don't enjoy reading them. I do. I often sift through to see what is really of the Lord. And occasionally I find something that speaks to my spirit.

Stay in the Word, people. It's the safest place.
