Fleeing the Fire – part 1

Greetings to all who long for His appearing!

I have had a rich and beneficial time since I last wrote to you and just realized afresh how desperately we need set-apart time with the Lord in our fast-paced world. We must get heaven's perspective before we are influenced by earthly perspectives found in the media and on the internet or we will be in danger of moving according to the clocks of this world instead of being in step with heaven's calendar.

On the 8th of January this year I had a dream which greatly impacted my spirit and which turned out to be the front page of a wealth of revelation imparted in the following weeks. I want to share the main portion with you and expand on what I gleaned from it.

In the dream, there was news that fire was devouring the whole land and everyone was having to pack hurriedly and flee. During my packing, I saw a family that had been despised by other Christians in a fellowship I attended in the past. They were already leaving with many suitcases – in other words, they were prepared ahead of time- the father was telling the children that they were going to a town far away where the fire would not reach them . My father and mother were with me as I packed and were young, about 30 yrs old. (my father died in 2001). After leaving my father's house, my husband and I then arrived at my grandfather's house which was double-story and in an elevated spot in the hill country. The surrounding hills were covered with forests. We had been driving in a soft-top sports car and I checked that it was locked to protect the contents and then we proceeded inside.

Inside the house, there were many people milling about, concerned about the fires. I realized I had not packed extra clothes or moisturizer and wondered if someone could take me back to get some but in my heart I knew that there was no time left to do this. I realized that talking about preparation and preparing are two different things! People kept asking me to do things for them and I said I couldn't because I was busy polishing antique silver teaspoons with my grandmother watching me. Then I decided to get some water for the journey ahead because I knew that if there was fire we would be very thirsty from the heat. I could only find empty plastic containers in the store-cupboard. Eventually I found a container shaped like a handbag and went to the scullery to fill it. The scullery was very old with an ancient spout coming out the wall. The water that came out was hot but if I turned the spout towards me, the water became lukewarm. I decided it would have to do because there was nothing else available. Then someone shouted, ”the fire is here”. We could see the red glow on the horizon and then suddenly it was right outside the house and balls of fire were falling out of the sky and jumping unpredictably and whizzing over our heads and setting fire to the forest all around. It was impossible to know what would happen next. I shouted to my husband that it was time to leave and we ran out without anything in our hands. There was a man on the patio as we left, surveying the fire, and he made a mocking comment about us leaving so hastily. I responded with a comment indicating that those who remained behind would be burnt to a crisp. Then we hurried past them and down the steps to the car. When I opened the car door, I saw a suitcase and a clear packet with the long crusts of a loaf made into a sandwich inside. the bread was black as if it had been spread with something or burnt. There were also two packets of crisps for the journey. I threw all these things in the back and climbed in and we left. Then I woke up.

I was disturbed in my waking moments at the meager snack I had found in the car in the dream and felt I was not prepared enough, having forgotten certain supplies in the dream and I asked the Lord whether I could have time to gather more spiritual supplies but He said, 'you have what you have. It has begun' and I was reminded of the 10 virgins and how those who didn’t have enough oil had no more time to get supplies once the shout of the Bridegroom's arrival went out. This immediately connected to the place in the dream where I realized there was no time to get more clothes or cosmetics once fire has begun. I had the impression that the whole dream took place within a day, the day of the Lord.

This dream speaks on many levels to those of us who have been in a time of preparation. Firstly it sends a strong message that the time for preparation for what lies ahead is very rapidly coming to an end. In the dream, I represent the Bride and my husband, the Bridegroom. The fires of judgment are moving throughout the land. There is a call for the Bride to 'leave your people and your father's house for the king desires your beauty' (psalm 45) and she prepares in haste for the journey ahead which culminates in the marriage feast. In this psalm, the Bride has made herself ready and is taken to the courts of the king in order to take her place at His side. I am reminded of the Israelites in Egypt who were required to hastily prepare and consume the Lamb on the night before their exodus from Egypt.

Exo 12:11 And thus you shall eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and you shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD'S passover. Exo 12:12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.

There is an appointment in God's calendar for His judgment fires to fall and we, as the Bride of Christ are to have our loins gird about with Truth and the shoes of the gospel of peace upon our feet and be prepared for God to move quickly at this time. We are to consume the whole Lamb, the whole counsel of God during our preparation as this will be our nourishment and the source of our strength for the journey ahead. There will be those that have been despised by their brethren because of their stance in the past, who will, in these days, be acknowledged as better prepared than their brothers and sisters in Christ. While others in the church were sitting down to eat and drink and rising up to play before the golden calf, a god fashioned after their own liking and according to the doctrines of men (Exodus 32:6), these wise ones have been sitting much in the presence of the True God on the mountain top and, just like Moses, will be recognized as the friends of God. God Almighty is about to execute judgment on the gods of Egypt and His judgment begins with the House of God and the idols of worldliness and materialism found therein.

I was given understanding that the sports car in which my husband and I traveled represented a speedy movement to flee the looming judgment fires. The house of my grandfather represents the house of our earthly inheritance and also the Laodicean Church system of today. This is the first stop on the journey for the Bride and her Groom, in order to lead by example and thereby leave behind a model in the same way as Paul said, “follow me as I follow Christ”. Within these walls, people are milling about, concerned at the signs of the times but seemingly not knowing what to do and the Bride demonstrates what is required. She does not waste time speaking of these things as the time for speaking is over – her life speaks as she gives full concentration to the task allotted her. The Bride is requested to fulfill many tasks and get involved in multiple things as she awaits the signal for the next part of her journey to begin, but she refuses as she is set apart for the Bridegroom and only busy doing what she sees the Father doing, ministering to a few who have ears to hear – represented by the silver teaspoons, vessels of honor being refined, fit for the Masters use. Even as she labors, she mentally checks her preparedness and realizes there are a few things she has left undone (moisturizer or cream speaks of application of the oil of the Holy Spirit) but it is too late – the time of preparing is over, as with the ten virgins whose lamps were either full of oil or sadly lacking. Once God's clock ticks over to the appointed time for the journey with the Bridegroom to begin, those who have only talked about the need to prepare without actually getting prepared, will find themselves ill-equipped for what is about to hit. Remember what the Lord said to me on waking on the 8th January, 'you have what you have. It has begun'. I cannot describe the strength of the fear of the Lord that filled me as I heard that. No more time, time to prepare and fill your spiritual tank, no more time of grace for sorting out your spiritual inventory – I was reminded of these verses:

Rev 10:5 And the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the earth lifted his hand to the heaven, Rev 10:6 and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created the heaven and the things in it, and the earth and the things in it, and the sea and the things in it, that there should no longer be time. Rev 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he will begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished (COMPLETED, WRAPPED UP) as He has declared to His servants the prophets.

In the dream, the Bride knows that the heat of the fires will cause many to thirst for living water and she sets out to get some for the journey but in this house there are only empty plastic vessels – in a place where wise counsel and words of Life should be found (the store-cupboard) she finds no-one who has living water within them; all are hypocritical and synthetic 'plastic' vessels. They honor God with their lips but their hearts are far from Him. The scullery is ancient and the spout set to serve hot water, the waters of hell itself. At best, only lukewarm water is available and the Bride knows this will not benefit the thirsty. All she will have to dispense in the days ahead is the Living Water within her; that which she has drunk herself at the fountain of the Water of Life.

When the call goes out that the fires are at the door, the Bride knows there is no time to lose and immediately leaves this House of compromise hand in hand with the Bridegroom - she leaves empty-handed because priests have no earthly inheritance- the Lord is their inheritance. AS she comes out from among them and begins the next leg of her journey with the Bridegroom, she encounters mockers on the porch.

Jud 1:17 But, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; Jud 1:18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts. Jud 1:19 These are those who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

2Pe 3:3 First, knowing this, that there will come in the last days scoffers walking according to their own lusts 2Pe 3:4 and saying, Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation. 2Pe 3:5 For this is hidden from them by their willing it, that the heavens were of old, and the earth out of the water, and through water, being held together by the Word of God, 2Pe 3:6 through which the world that then was, being flooded by water, perished. 2Pe 3:7 But the present heavens and the earth being kept in store by the same Word, are being kept for fire until the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

Because judgment begins with the House of God, the fire that falls is in order to bring separation between true believers and those who only have an appearance of godliness. Those who remain in the house of compromise and lukewarmness are appointed for the Refiner's fire. It is shocking to realize that mockers and scoffers are found on the porch of the building that is called by many, 'God's House', yet the book of Jude warns us of those who have wormed their way into the midst of the Church and pervert the grace of God. His description would better fit an unbeliever, yet he is describing people within the church! No wonder judgment needs to begin with the House of God and it is a judgment of fire, refining fire that will separate and clearly differentiate between the wheat and the tares.

Mal 3:1 Behold, I will send My messenger, and He will clear the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Angel of the Covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He comes, says the Lord of Hosts. Mal 3:2 But who can endure the day of His coming? And who shall stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire, and like fuller's soap. Mal 3:3 And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver. And He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may be offerers of a food offering in righteousness to the Lord. Mal 3:4 Then the food offering of Judah and Jerusalem shall be pleasing to the Lord, as in the days of old and as in former years. Mal 3:5 And I will come near you to judgment. And I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those who extort from the hired laborer's wages, and turning away the widow, and the orphan, the alien, and not fearing Me, says the Lord of Hosts.

God is talking about dealing with His own people both in this passage and in chapter 4 of Malachi. The Bridegroom is coming to that which is called the House of God and He is coming suddenly and without warning, just as the fire was suddenly at the door of the house in my dream. Depending on the state of your heart and life He is coming two different ways:

Mal 4:1 For, behold, the day comes, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yes, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that comes shall burn them up, says the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch. Mal 4:2 But to you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings;

He is coming to refine and cleanse OR for those who fear Him, He is coming with healing and restoration. It will become abundantly clear who is really a servant of God and who is not.

Mal 3:16 Then they that feared the LORD spoke often one to another: and the LORD listened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name. Mal 3:17 And they shall be mine, says the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spares his own son that serves him. Mal 3:18 Then shall ye return (OR LOOK BACK) and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serves God and him that does not serve him .

He is coming to draw a line of separation between the godly and the ungodly within the House and therefore it is necessary for the Bride to flee the moment she is alerted that the fire of judgment is at the door of the idolatrous church of today. Until that time she ministers to those vessels of silver whom she is helping to prepare and polish but then she must let them go and move quickly at the Spirit's direction and come out from amongst them to continue her journey with her Beloved.

2Co 6:16 And what agreement does a temple of God have with idols? For you are the temple of the living God, as God has said, "I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people." 2Co 6:17 Therefore come out from among them and be separated, says the Lord, and do not touch the unclean thing. And I will receive you 2Co 6:18 and I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.

The scoffers see no reason to flee in spite of what is going on all around them but the Bride heeds the call of the Spirit that it is time and she leaves the house of compromise empty-handed. Her Beloved is hers and she is His and she needs nothing more from fleshly religious systems. The judgment of fire separates those who fear the Lord and tremble at His Word from those who despise His counsel and want nothing to do with His reproof. Because she has kept His Word and not denied His Name, he will keep her from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole earth (Rev 3:10).

When I enquired of the Lord as to the suitcase on my seat in the car, the Spirit said, “this is your honeymoon suitcase, packed by the Bridegroom, there are new garments, but there is no time to check them out now. get seated for take-off!" Remember that I had already packed my own case and stored it in the car. So at this point in the journey, the Bride receives a double portion (two suitcases), the inheritance that has been stored up for her beyond the reach of change or decay, stored up in Heaven for her. This speaks of an impartation from heaven which has been kept for this appointed time when the fires of judgment are falling upon the church, plus the store she has gathered by her own efforts. The two packets of crisps also confirm this. Potatoes are fruit of the earth and crisps are potatoes that have passed through the fire.

Isa 4:2 In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.

If we have walked in the fear of the Lord and been doers and not only hearers of the Word, we will enter into a time of reaping what we have sown, of tasting and seeing that the Lord is good. Those who have sown to the flesh will also reap but they will reap corruption because God is not mocked. All that is wood, hay or stubble built upon the foundation of Christ which will be burnt up but the Bride who has built with silver, gold and precious stones, will receive the fruit of her hands.

1Co 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest (SHOWN FOR WHAT IT IS): for the day shall declare it (MAKE IT PLAIN), because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 1Co 3:14 If anyone's work which he built remains, he shall receive a reward. 1Co 3:15 If anyone's work shall be burned up, he shall suffer loss. But he shall be saved, yet so as by fire. 1Co 3:16 Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 1Co 3:17 If anyone defiles the temple of God, God shall destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which you are.

BELOVED, WE ARE RAPIDLY APPROACHING AND, FOR SOME, HAVE PROBABLY ALREADY ENTERED, THE TIME WHEN THE FIRE OF GOD WILL TRY HIS CHURCH. Remember what the Lord said to me when I awoke from the dream:' you have what you have. It has begun'. It is at the door.

The separation is according to the condition of the heart as the Bride is already holy, set-apart for her Bridegroom and on a journey with Him.

Isa 4:3 And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remains in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem: Isa 4:4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

As the judgment fire hits the Laodicean Church of today, the Bride moves into a new stage of her journey with Jesus. His presence is continually seen with her and she receives that which He has personally prepared for her for this time - garments, rewards, fruit of her labor in the Lord.

Isa 4:5 And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day,(HIS PRESENCE IN THE MIDST OF HIS BRIDE IN THE Wilderness) and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence. Isa 4:6 And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.

The sandwich of crusts in my dream represents the fact that the Bride has eaten the soft inner part already, the bread of Life (Just as the Israelites ate the whole flesh of the lamb except for the bones!). Jesus said, ‘unless you eat My flesh, you have no part in me'. The sandwich shows that the Bride already carries within her, the portion of the revelation of Christ which she consumed in the last season. The crusts are the part of the bread that hold the whole loaf together in one. As the Bride embarks on this journey with the Bridegroom, she will be fed with the remaining revelation she needs to see the whole picture. The separate pieces of revelation she has walked in previously will be brought together into a whole as she eats of the meal which the Bridegroom has appointed her. The car has a soft top which is down – in other words there is no man-made covering over her other than Heaven itself!

Beloved, for some time there has been news that the baptism of fire and the judgment of God is sweeping the land, but it has seemed that it is still a little way off. This dream is a warning that it is almost upon us. We stand on the brink of a new dispensation, a chapter like no other we have ever known.

Isa 3:10 Say to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Isa 3:11 Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

Isa 66:14 ... and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies. Isa 66:15 For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. Isa 66:16 For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.

SELAH

Part 2 – Leaving Sodom amidst the Shakings

Most of those who are in touch with the Spirit of God are aware that we have entered a transition moment which is propelling us rapidly into the next season in God's calendar. Preparation time is almost over. The time of rapid change is at the door. The kingdoms of this world are destined to become the kingdoms of our God and in order for this to happen, judgment of His house is unavoidable. His Bride must come out of Egypt and the world system and the fleshly, sin-stained religious charade that so poorly represents Him and be seen for who she really is, the wife of the Lamb, who has made herself ready. In part one of this month’s newsletter I shared a dream I received on the morning of 8th January 2010. It depicted fire falling from heaven upon a lukewarm and unprepared house while the Bride and Bridegroom left the premises. A very similar picture is depicted in the story of Lot's exit from Sodom as the fires of judgment rained down upon that depraved city.

We are informed in the passage about the two witnesses in Revelation that Jerusalem was referred to spiritually as both Egypt and Sodom because of its worldliness and uncleanness:

Rev 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Jesus referred to Sodom when speaking to His disciples about the day when He would be revealed:

Luk 17:28 So also as it was in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; Luk 17:29 but the day Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from the heaven and destroyed them all. Luk 17:30 Even so it shall be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed. Luk 17:31 In that day he who shall be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise, he who is in the field, let him not return to the things behind. Luk 17:32 Remember Lot's wife. Luk 17:33 Whoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it, and whoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

Everything was carrying on as usual in Sodom, just as it is within most of the church today, when suddenly the day of judgment arrived. Jesus strongly warned them that when the fire started falling they were not to look for belongings to take with them from inside the house. The one on the rooftop is the watchman who could see the approaching judgment. He was warned to flee like the Bride in my dream. The one in the field is the hardworking farmer, tending his crops unto harvest. Likewise, he who is also about the Father's business must flee so that the godly are separated in the midst of judgment by fire.

2Pe 2:6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, He condemned them with an overthrow, setting an example to men intending to live ungodly. 2Pe 2:7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy lifestyle of the wicked: 2Pe 2:8 For that righteous one living among them, in seeing and hearing, his righteous soul was tormented from day to day with their unlawful deeds. 2Pe 2:9 The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation (Greek word meaning 'adversity, discipline') and to reserve the unjust for a day of judgment, to be punished,

Lot was distraught at the behavior he saw around him day after day, just as some are when they view the behavior of the leadership and members of many parts of the church of today, but he did not move out of Sodom himself - and as we see in the account of his rescue, he had married his daughters to men of Sodom. However, the day came when God sent angelic messengers to urge him to flee the judgment that was coming. Lot left Sodom at the last moment and was separated from his sons-in-law, who were unmoved by the warnings of immanent judgment, just like the scoffers in my dream. God knows how to deliver the godly out of adversity and appointed discipline and He does it by sending messengers to urge, warn and finally thrust the godly out of the unclean place appointed for judgment by fire!

Consider this dream a message, a warning to all to urgently separate yourselves unto the Bridegroom and separate yourselves from all compromise, lukewarmness and worldliness. For those of you interceding for back-slidden friends and family, intensify your efforts as you urge and thrust them like a woman in labor out of the place of uncleanness and into a place of safety. Time is extremely short and God is coming as a Refiner's Fire. He will deal with both the prophet and the priest:

Jer 23:11 For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, says the LORD. Jer 23:12 Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery ways in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their visitation, says the LORD. Jer 23:13 And I have seen folly in the prophets of Samaria; they prophesied in Baal, and caused my people Israel to err. Jer 23:14 I have seen also in the prophets of Jerusalem an horrible thing: they commit adultery, and walk in lies: they strengthen also the hands of evildoers, that none doth return from his wickedness: they are all of them unto me as Sodom, and the inhabitants thereof as Gomorrah. Jer 23:15 Therefore, says the LORD of hosts concerning the prophets; Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink the water of gall: for from the prophets of Jerusalem is profaneness gone forth into all the land. Jer 23:16 Thus says the LORD of hosts, Listen not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy to you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD. Jer 23:17 They say still to them that despise me, The LORD has said, You shall have peace; and they say to every one that walks after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you. Jer 23:18 For who has stood in the counsel of the LORD, and has perceived and heard his word? who has marked his word, and heard it? Jer 23:19 Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked. Jer 23:20 The anger of the LORD shall not return, until he have executed, and till he has performed the thoughts of his heart: in the latter days you shall understand it perfectly. Jer 23:21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. Jer 23:22 But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings. Jer 23:23 Am I a God at hand, says the LORD, and not a God afar off? Jer 23:24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? says the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? Says the LORD. Jer 23:25 I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. Jer 23:26 How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? Yes, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart; Jer 23:27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal. Jer 23:28 The prophet that has a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? says the LORD. Jer 23:29 Is not my word like as a fire? says the LORD; and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?

For too long the church has been flooded with prophesies that stroke the flesh instead of releasing the true word of the Lord that will convict and bring repentance. It is a sure sign that those who call themselves prophets have in fact, not stood in the Lord's counsel but prophesied out of the deception in their own hearts. This leaves the church unaware, indolent and unprepared for what, or Who, is at the door! It is time to speak the Truth in love as never before. A true word from the Lord will turn a man from his evil way, not convince him that all will be well with him as he continues in his sin.

Rev 3:14 And to the angel of the church of the Laodicea write: The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Head of the creation of God, says these things: Rev 3:15 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I would that you were cold or hot. Rev 3:16 So because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Rev 3:17 Because you say, I am rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing, and do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, Rev 3:18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold purified by fire, so that you may be rich; and white clothing, so that you may be clothed, and so that the shame of your nakedness does not appear. And anoint your eyes with eye salve, so that you may see. Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten; therefore be zealous and repent.

Enough of shallow, fleshly pseudo-prophetic words and New Age witchcraft masquerading as messages from the Lord. The Body of Christ is appointed a cleansing at the Bridegroom's threshing-floor. The Lord of the harvest will in the days ahead be releasing, through faithful prepared vessels, a fiery Word to those He loves, a Word that rebukes and chastens, in order to prepare a people who are fit to rule and reign with Him:

Luk 3:16 John answered all, saying, I indeed baptize you with water, but He who is mightier than I comes, the thong of whose sandals I am not worthy to loose. He shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire, Luk 3:17 whose fan is in His hand, and He will thoroughly purge His floor and will gather the wheat into His storehouse. But He will burn the chaff with unquenchable fire.

At the threshing floor, the wheat is struck and shaken with the winnowing fan in order to separate the chaff from the wheat kernels. The wind helps in the process as the wheat is tossed in the air. The process continues until there is no more chaff clinging to the wheat. Then the wheat is stored in the barn and the chaff appointed for the fire. The Lord of the Harvest is focused and intent on providing bread from heaven for the nations and at His threshing floor He unleashes a work that separates and cleanses.

Heb 12:25 See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape, those who refused him that spoke on earth, much more we shall not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from Heaven, Heb 12:26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, "Yet once more I will not only shake the earth, but also the heavens." Heb 12:27 And this word, "Yet once more," signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that have been made, so that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Heb 12:28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear, Heb 12:29 for also, "Our God is a consuming fire."

The only thing which cannot be shaken within us is the kingdom of God. All that is counterfeit or fleshly is removed at the threshing floor. The shaking, the wind of the Spirit and the fire all contribute to this process. Thank God for His winnowing process – it does for us what we are unable to do for ourselves!

Remember what the Lord said to me on waking on the 8th January after the dream I shared with you, 'you have what you have. It has begun'. Four days later, Haiti was struck by an earthquake. I sensed immediately it served as the clock chime for the beginning of the new season God had been speaking to me of. For the church in Haiti, there was no more time for preparation, with the first trembling of that quake, it had begun. Their lives would never be the same again and what they had at that moment stored within them would be what they had to draw on in the coming hours, days, months and probably years. The interesting thing was what unfolded in the minutes after the quake. As destruction and death lay all around them, the true church in Haiti came out on the streets and began to worship and praise God. What an amazing response to loss and tragedy.

Isa 60:2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon you, and his glory shall be seen upon you.

The Bride of Christ does not become clearly visible in the atmosphere of a tea party. It is as shaking after shaking hits the earth, yet the kingdom within her remains unshakable, that she is clearly identified. As survivor after survivor was interviewed, some being found many days after the quake, again and again the testimony came of God's strength within them, of His miraculous keeping power that defied logic and of the hope in spite of the tragedy they had endured. One woman in particular caught my attention. She was boarding a bus into the countryside, having lost both of her children and all she possessed. All she still had was the clothes on her back and her bible and she was asked how she was emotionally surviving the terrible ordeal she was going through. She quoted psalm 46:

Psa 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psa 46:2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Psa 46:3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

This courageous woman was a living message to God's people. Her story clearly showed that we, as the saints of God must not expect to be whisked to heaven before the shaking begins. Nor will our lives be untouched by the unfolding dealings of God in this end-time. The things that can be shaken, will be shaken. The things that are made with hands will be affected and possibly lost - but the city that is not made with hands, the New Jerusalem descending out of heaven from God will remain unshakable in the midst of it all. This is how we will be marked as true messengers of God!

2Co 6:4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities, in distresses, 2Co 6:5 In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in watchings, in fastings; 2Co 6:6 By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by love unfeigned, 2Co 6:7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, 2Co 6:8 By honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report: called deceivers, and yet true; 2Co 6:9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed; 2Co 6:10 As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

In the days that unfolded after Haiti was struck, the internet and news media and many Christian circles speculated on the reason for the event. It was boldly said that the quake was God's judgment because of Haiti's voodoo practices and an ancient pact made with the devil in order to overthrow the French rule. What many people did not realize is that in 1997 a number of the sincere Pentecostal church leaders in Haiti began to intercede to break the hold of voodoo upon Haiti. They obtained permission to go to the site where the ancient pact had been made and after intense spiritual warfare, managed to reach the place where no Christian had set foot for 200 years. Here they repented for the sins of the nation and broke the agreement with satan and dedicated the nation of Haiti back to Jesus Christ. However, the highest office in the land was filled in 1993 by Aristeed, an ex-catholic priest turned voodoo practitioner. He attempted to reinstate the pact with satan and invited a number of voodoo priests to perform rites (including child sacrifice) to re-enter this diabolic agreement right on the steps of the presidential mansion. He then declared the official religion of Haiti to be voodoo. He was subsequently deposed and fled the country and the true church labored on, surrounded by darkness and devil worship.

For seven years after this, God patiently waited for people to repent. Then, at an appointed time, the earthquake struck and the capital of Haiti and surrounding area was reduced to rubble. The presidential palace where Aristeed had performed his diabolical ritual was crushed as a vivid portrayal in the natural of what God was busy doing. The head of the Catholic church in Haiti was killed in the church building where he worked (many Haitians attended the Catholic Church on a Sunday and partook in voodoo rituals in the forests during the week). God was busy drawing a line of separation between the true kingdom of God within earthen vessels and the mixture and compromise prevailing in some areas of the so-called church. He was shaking principalities and powers in the heavenlies in answer to the prayers of the Haitian saints and He was shaking things in the earthly realm. Everything that could be shaken was shaken and I cringed as so-called Christians around the world declared in a self-righteous manner that Haiti had received what was coming because of their sin. Having just had the dream of fire suddenly falling, I tried to hear what the Spirit was saying through all this to a watching world. A passage in Luke began to speak powerfully to me:

Luk 13:4 Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were sinners above all men who lived in Jerusalem? Luk 13:5 I tell you, No. But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.

Jesus was referring to a news event where it had been surmised that people crushed by a falling building had met with their fate because of the greatness of their sin. He sternly corrected His hearers, in effect telling them that the event served as a warning to those remaining, that unless they repented, they would also be destroyed. In the same way, This earthquake is a strong warning on the spiritual Richter scale for all that unless we repent and bear fruit in keeping with repentance, destruction is on the way.

Haiti had received warnings by experts two years previously that a major earthquake was imminent but business continued as usual. No-one took any notice – just as many in the church have taken no notice of those who have warned of coming judgment for idolatry, sin and witchcraft in the church. One important fact about Haiti is that there has been no building code in place for those wanting to put up houses. They could build just how they pleased. However, when the earthquake hit, those buildings that had no steel reinforcing or proper foundations were reduced to rubble. In the same way, in the church, those who have built just as they pleased without prescribed building materials, using wood and hay and stubble, will find all their efforts destroyed in the severe shaking that is coming. Our God is a consuming fire.

1Co 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 1Co 3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 1Co 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Either we burn with zeal for His kingdom and His house or our inferior works and fleshly efforts will be destroyed by fire. I heard recently that a voodoo priest in Haiti was complaining that most of the aid coming into Haiti was from Christian organizations. He could sense that the kingdom of darkness was retreating under the advancing army of God reaching out in mercy and love to a hurting nation. Beloved, the kingdoms of this world are destined to become the kingdom of our God. When we pray 'let Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven' we do not realize the way God intends to answer those prayers.

Rev 8:3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. Rev 8:4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand. Rev 8:5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

When the prayers of the saints are mingled with the fire from the altar of God, there are thunderings and lightnings and earthquakes. The answers to prayers for His kingdom to come shake the earthly realm and the heavenlies. Ancient strongholds are destroyed and the true Church of Christ arises and shines in the midst of it all, as she holds out the Word of Life. God is revealing His jewels against a black velvet backdrop just as He promised in Malachi 3. It is time to stop concentrating on our own comfort and self-preservation and understand what is of true value - and none of it is earthly.

Col 3:1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. Col 3:2 Be mindful of things above, not on things on the earth. Col 3:3 For you died, and your life has been hidden with Christ in God. Col 3:4 When Christ our Life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

Only people made in the image of God are of value. Our houses and lands and piled up riches and earthly jewels mean nothing in the day of the Lord. Let us labor for what heaven considers a valuable harvest while there is still time. Think of the unsaved who fill the mass graves in Haiti and look at the fields which are white unto harvest all around you. As the shakings continue in whatever form they come, you will be presented with marvelous opportunities to share the Truth and the love of God with people who have nothing left to lean on. His kingdom is coming on earth as it is in Heaven. Keep your sense of urgency and be aglow with zeal, serving the Lord.

Jud 1:20 But you beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Jud 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. Jud 1:22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: Jud 1:23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Jud 1:24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, Jud 1:25 To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
