Woody, who turned himself in to Boynton Beach police Wednesday, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the Saturday night deaths of Stephen Ocean, 23, and Tite Sufra, 24, near the Boynton Beach city library. He was expected to be taken to the Palm Beach County Jail later today and have a bond hearing Thursday. Boynton Beach spokeswoman Stephanie Slater said this afternoon he was still being questioned and she would not immediately provide information about a motive. A woman who identified herself as Ocean's sister, but did not want to give her name, said the two men, best friends, were ministers who were ordained last year and had turned their lives around after run-ins with law enforcement. She did not want to identify the church with which they were aligned. "They go around and minister to boys and say where they came from," the sister said. "They did that all day and all night." Jail records show no adult arrests for Sufra. Ocean was arrested in 2003 on robbery charges and in 2004 for violating probation on previous battery and petit theft convictions. He was arrested in 2006 for carrying a concealed firearm and resisting an officer. Jail records show no adult arrests for Woody. According to a Boynton Beach police report, a person who was with the two slain men told police that, about 8 p.m Saturday, the three were walking through the neighborhood, preaching, and encountered Woody under a tree. They had been preaching to him for about 15 minutes when he received a call on his cellphone. The three heard him tell the person on the phone that he was "right down the street." He then told the three preachers he had to go. As the three began walking east, they noticed Woody running toward them. The friend said he saw Sufra walk toward Woody; he then saw a flash and saw Sufra fall. Ocean began running and was dropped by a shot to the buttocks, the witness said. He said Woody then walked up to Ocean and shot him in the head execution-style. The third man was able to flee and call police, the report said. Officers found the two lying in the 100 block of Southwest Second Avenue. On Tuesday, a source alerted detectives to a man with the street name of "plug" who matched the description of the shooter. The man who'd been preaching with the two other men picked Woody out of a lineup, the report said |

Soon it will be "Fashionable" to kill christians....its already fashionable to kill them with words on all the forums. Times are going to get dark and many will lay their lives down for the sake of the Gospel of Christ....loving not their lives even unto death. Are you ready to die for the Lord?...for it will be required of you if it is your destiny to do so. These two brothers had been saved a short time..but in that time they reached many. Their destiny was fulfilled..and they went home. You may only reach one single person and then be taken home...but if that one person was your whole life mission..you will have fulfilled your calling..and will recieve the same reward as those who have laboured all day in the hot sun. Ponder this..for times are going to get very hard..and wearing the name of "Christian" will put your life on the line..the question is..are you alredy dead?..if so..there is nothing to fear in death. |

"Soon it will be "Fashionable" to kill christians" I agree with you Final Call but I believe it already is fashionable, not everything is reported on the news, think about all the evangelist who probably have already been killed in this nation without anyone ever finding out about it. |

True...many have been killed..and no one finds out. But when they do it makes the news. There was one here in brisbane who was preaching on the street..someone threw lighter fluid all over him and set him aflame. But there will come a time soon..when being KNOWN as a christian will get you killed by ALL...just like in the times of Nero..so it will be again. Citizen dobbing in citizen..brothers against brothers..families torn apart..and all for some money..some advantage..or they turn Judas out of fear. But in any case..being a born again christian will one day..sooner than you think..be an instant death warrant. One day our faith..EVERY faith..will be tried in the fires of persecution on an UNRIVALLED SCALE...that will make the persecutions of Nero look like a picnic. Are we truly ready to die for the Lord? IF so...then lets LIVE FOR HIM with ALL our heart. Death will be easy...there will also be torture..beatings..rape and other atrocities. The sort of thing you hear about in third world countries will soon be a normal every day thing in the west..as OUR cozy little world comes a crumbling dow..and CHRISTIANS..same as last time..will be BLAMED. |
