Nuke test? http://www.presstv.ir/detail.aspx?id=117545§ionid=351020101 'Iran will deliver telling blow to global powers on Feb. 11' Mon, 01 Feb 2010 01:30:44 GMT Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the nation will deliver a harsh blow to the "global arrogance" on this year's anniversary of the Islamic Revolution. "The Islamic Revolution opened a window to liberty for the human race, which was trapped in the dead ends of materialism," Ahmadinejad said during a cabinet meeting on Sunday. "If the Islamic Revolution had not occurred, liberalism and Marxism would have crushed all human dignity in their power-seeking and money-grubbing claws. Nothing would have remained of human and spiritual principles," he added. Ahmadinejad said that in the three decades of its history, the Islamic Revolution had inspired some great developments in the world. |

Well it looks the old boy has changed his mind... of course they've done this before and knows it will be rejected. Let's see if the 11th is more hot air. Iran: We can live with U.N. uranium deal Ahmadinejad says 'no problem' sending it abroad to be enriched TEHRAN, Iran - Iran said on Tuesday that it was ready to send its uranium abroad for further enrichment as requested by the U.N. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced the decision in an interview with state Iranian television. He said Iran will have "no problem" giving the West its low-enriched uranium and taking it back several months later when it is enriched by 20 percent. Story continues below ↓advertisement | your ad here The decision could signal a major shift in the Iranian position on the issue. Still, it was unclear how much of a concession the Ahmadinejad comments represented, even though he appeared to be saying for the first time that Iran was willing to ship out its enriched uranium and wait for it to be returned in the form of fuel for its Tehran research reactor. But his time frame of four or five months appeared to fall short of the year that Western officials say it would take for Iran's enriched fuel to be turned into fuel rods for the reactor. If that difference cannot be bridged, it could allow Iranian officials to assert that the deal failed due to Western foot-dragging, despite their readiness to accept the proposed formula of shipping out the bulk of their enriched uranium and waiting for it to be converted and returned as fuel. Key condition not addressed Ahmadinejad also did not address whether his country was ready to ship out most of its stockpile in one batch — another condition set by the six world powers endorsing the fuel swap. If Iran were to agree to export most of its enriched uranium in one shipment, it would delay its ability to make a nuclear weapon by stripping it of the material it needs to make the fissile core of a warhead. Experts believe it would need at least a year to replenish its stockpile at its present rate of uranium enrichment. For months, Iranian officials have used the media to criticize the plan and offer alternatives. The West suspects that Iran's nuclear program is geared toward acquiring atomic weapons. Iran denies the charge and says the program is for the peaceful purpose of generating energy. "If we allow them to take it, there is no problem. We sign a contract to give 3.5 percent enriched uranium and receive 20 percent enriched one after four or five months," Ahmadinejad said. He dismissed concerns by what he called "colleagues" that the West would not return the uranium, saying Iran would respond to that by continuing to produce its own enriched uranium. Laying out the proposal The plan for shipping the low enriched uranium abroad for treatment comes from the International Atomic Agency. It was first drawn up in early October in a landmark meeting in Geneva between Iran and the six world powers, and then refined later that month in Vienna talks among Iran, the U.S., Russia and France. The talks in Vienna came up with a draft proposal that would take 70 percent of Iran's low-enriched uranium to reduce its stockpile of material that could be enriched to a higher level, and possibly be used to make nuclear weapons. That uranium would be returned about a year later as refined fuel rods, which can power reactors but cannot be readily turned into weapons-grade material. IAEA officials did not immediately return after-hours calls to their mobile phones seeking comment. Said U.S. State Department spokesman Gordon Duguid of the proposal: "There has been some discussion about details, but the deal is the deal and the Iranians need only to tell the IAEA they are prepared to take it and we can move forward from there." A spokeswoman at Britain's Foreign Office said it did not immediately have a comment on Iran, and a spokesman at the German Foreign Ministry in Berlin also had no comment. ‘Come and build’ In Tuesday's interview, Ahmadinejad repeated his wish to see the West build nuclear power plants in his country. "They want to cooperate? OK, we cooperate. We do not have any problem. Let them build 20 nuclear power plants. Is there a problem? Russia, France and the U.S., come and build." http://http://www.msnbc.msn.com |

Warm up for the 11th? Iran hails successful launch of satellite rocket (AFP) – 1 hour ago TEHRAN — Iran hailed the successful launch of a home-produced satellite rocket on Wednesday amid Western concerns it is using its nuclear and space industries to develop atomic and ballistic weapons. The Kavoshgar 3 (Explorer) rocket was carrying an "experimental capsule", state-owned Al-Alam television reported. State television's website said it was carrying "live animals" -- a rat, turtles and worms. "The capsule has the ability to send back empirical data," the website said. State television showed footage of the rocket being fired from a desert launchpad leaving behind a thick plume of smoke. A few minutes later the grainy images showed the capsule detaching from the rocket and spinning in orbit. State television also carried pictures of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad unveiling another home-built satellite rocket dubbed the Simorgh. The milk-bottle shaped rocket, emblazoned in blue with the words "Satellite Carrier Simorgh," is equipped to carry a 100-kilogramme (220-pound) satellite 500 kilometres (310 miles) into orbit, the television report said. The events are part of celebrations marking the 31st anniversary of the founding of the Islamic revolution. Iran's first home-built satellite, the Omid (Hope), was launched in February last year to coincide with the 30th anniversary. The launch sent alarm bells ringing in the international community, which voiced concern over Iran's development of technology that could be used for military purposes. The West suspects Iran of secretly trying to build an atomic bomb and fears the technology used to launch space rockets could be diverted into developing long-range ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads. Tehran denies having military goals for its space programme or its nuclear drive. http://www.google.com/hostednews |

I am certainly not against prayer. Prayer for Jerusalem is something we should do more for our part than for the Nation of Israel. God will protect them. Should Iran chose to raise its sword against God's people, the prayer will need to go forth for the Iranian people. |

The nation of Israel happens to be the very soil where our Lord walked and taught us. I will always pray that every missile aimed at My Lord's Footsteps, will be returned to sender. If you differ in that opinion, then watch this: http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/memory-of-the-camps/ |

Khameini repeats the threat: Iran anniversary will be 'punch' to West: Khamenei (AFP) – 2 hours ago TEHRAN — Iran's all powerful supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said on Monday that the 31st anniversary of the Islamic revolution would be a "punch" to the world's "arrogant" powers that would stun them. "The Iranian nation, with its unity and God's grace, will punch the arrogance (Western powers) on the 22nd of Bahman (February 11) in a way that will leave them stunned," Khamenei, who is also Iran's commander-in-chief, told a gathering of air force personnel. The country's top cleric was delivering a speech to mark the occasion when 31 years ago the Iranian airforce gave its support to the revolutionary leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, a key event which led to the toppling of the US-backed shah on February 11, 1979. This year's anniversary is expected to become a flashpoint between security forces and supporters of opposition leaders Mir Hossein Mousavi and Mehdi Karroubi, who have triggered one of the worst crises facing the Islamic republic since it was founded. Opposition supporters are expected to stage anti-government protests on Thursday when the traditional regime-sponsored marches to mark the revolution take place across the country. The protests were first triggered after the June 12 presidential election which saw incumbent Mahmoud Ahmadinejad return to power in what the opposition claims was a "fraudulent" poll. Khamenei told the airforce personnel that the "most important aim of the sedition after the election was to create a rift within the Iranian nation, but it was unable to do so and our nation's unity remained a thorn in its eyes." http://www.google.com |

Israeli, I am not sure what that was supposed to mean, but I am not saying that to be against Israel. I am simply saying that even if America does not pray for Israel, they will be ok. God will protect them. If Iran decides to attack Israel it will be to their own demise. If America does not pray for Israel and stand with them, it will be to our own demise. Yes I hope that God does grant me what I have asked for Israel. Blessing and protection. |

ST, you raise an interesting question, and I hope someone will feel led to answerer. When God tells us to pray for Israel, isn't God speaking of His chosen Israel, not the secular nation? Please no aggressive attacks, I really would like to know. I also agree with ST, that it is about Jerusalem in the end times and Christ return. The nations will one day come and try and destroy Jerusalem, but Christ will stop His Holy land from being destroyed. So this is where it gets confusing, we can pray for peace, yet we know there will be war to come to Israel. |

![]() 'Israel could face earthquake similar to Haiti one' Zvi Lavi Published: 01.26.10, 13:14 / Israel News Drawing lessons from Haiti disaster? Chairman of the inter-ministerial steering committee for earthquake preparation Dr. Avi Shapira warned the Knesset on Tuesday that "a strong earthquake will definitely occur in Israel. He added, "A strong earthquake could also be as strong as the one which occurred in Haiti and possibly even stronger than that." http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3839800,00.html Israel is due, and ill prepared, for a major earthquake The magnitude of the earthquake that struck Port au Prince was 7.0 on the Richter scale, with an epicenter 15 kilometers from the city and at a depth of 10 kilometers. In 1770 a powerful earthquake occurred, destroying the city, but many years have passed and it has slipped from Haiti's national memory. In Israel the last destructive earthquake, with a magnitude of 6.2 on the Richter scale, occurred in 1927. Its epicenter was the Dead Sea, and its effects were felt in Jerusalem, Nablus, Jericho, Ramle and Tiberias, resulting in 500 deaths and injuries to 700. An earthquake in 1837 killed 5,000 people. According to the Jewish historian Josephus Flavius, in 31 B.C.E., 30,000 people lost their lives in an earthquake. On average, a destructive earthquake takes place in Israel once every 80 years, causing serious casualties and damage. The more time passes since the previous earthquake, the closer we are to the next. In other words, we are running out of time. http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/1142886.html |
| Repentance is a rocky road best travelled in the day, when there is light, lest darkness comes, and I stumble in the dark...that is to say the Spirit of God will not always strive with man. I will therefore humble myself before the God of heaven and pray, who has called me...to walk this road of repentance..that leads to eternal life. | |

I thought the question was specific to STT??? |
| Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
