Member Posts: 50 Group: Members Member #146 Joined: March 8, 2006	"And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: and also upon the servants and upon the handmaidens in those days will I pour out My Spirit." Joel 2:28,29. After Jesus was anointed with the Holy Spirit, He went about healing the sick and casting out demons by the power (dunamis, from which we get the word dynamite) of the Holy Spirit. Jesus told His disciples, "And behold, I send the promise of My Father upon you, but tarry in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power (dunamis) from on high." Lu 24:49. This promise was fulfilled on the Day of Pentecost. Acts 2:14-21. The Apostle Paul would later say, "And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God." 1 Cor 2:4,5. Jesus said, "And these signs shall follow them that believe; in My name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." Mk 16:17,18. Paul instructed the church, "Now concerning Spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant...For to one is given by the Spirit the Word of wisdom; to another the Word of knowledge by the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit; to another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues..." 1 Cor 12:1-11. "For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the Spirit he speaketh mysteries...he that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church...wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the Spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also; I will sing with the Spirit and I will sing with the understanding also...wherefore my brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues." 1 Cor 14:1-40. Some limit the speaking in tongues, to merely preaching in other languages. First of all, the gifts of the Holy Spirit are supernatural - not talents or abilities. It would be blasphemous to say, that sinners who speak in more than one language are operating in the Holy Spirit. If one comes to the Word of God with a teachable heart, he will, readily, see in these passages that speaking and praying in tongues is to be part of the worship service. Jude 20,21 tells us, "But ye beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, keeping yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life." "For precept must be upon precept; line upon line; here a little and there a little: For with stammering lips and another tongue will He speak to this people. To whom He said, This is the rest wherewith ye shall cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear." Isa 28:10-12. Will you hear?

Because you are missing out on God's best if you dismiss this part of the Holy Spirit's ministry in us. Edited by justme, Nov 2 2009, 01:13 PM.

Member Posts: 50 Group: Members Member #146 Joined: March 8, 2006	I heard about a Hindu girl with a leg that was dead. She heard, that, Jesus could heal her. She told her mom, "Jesus will heal me." And He did!!! They became Christians and threw away all their Hindu gods. Although, I come from an extended family of six, soon to be seven doctors, five nurses, one veterinarian, and one chemical engineer, (who makes drugs), Jesus has been my Healer for forty-one years. When my daughter broke out in hives, her grandfather, a doctor, told her to abstain from certain foods. My other children just laughed and said, "Jesus will heal her" and He did! My friend Pam was molested by her father at age four. She grew up to be a witch. She reversed a spell in my son's room. That night, my daughter heard noises coming from his room. The toys were flying around the room. The next day, we anointed the room with oil, and took authority over the devil, and he left! Pam came to me with blood oozing from her eyes, her mouth, her ears and her nose. She asked me to pray for her. I did, and Jesus healed her. That is what I like about the 700 Club. They call out the Word of knowledge and many people are healed throughout the world, and their doctors are amazed! By the power of the Holy Spirit through me, I have cast out demons, healed the sick and in a group of three, raised a man from the dead in Spain. Just as Paul raised Eutychus in Acts 20:9-12. I want all to know that this is the most important subject and doctrine which should be taught here or anywhere, OUTSIDE OF THE DOCTRINE OF SALVATION by the BLOOD OF JESUS. One of the last teaching of Jesus, before He left earth to return to His Father was concerning the Baptism with the Holy Spirit. He told His people to: WAIT IN JERUSALEM UNTIL YOU RECEIVE POWER FROM ON HIGH. According to Jesus they were not to even begin to witness WITHOUT THIS POWER. In other words He told them to NOT LEAVE TOWN WITHOUT THIS BAPTISM. Now I want all to know that I was deceived and led astray by Men and a paticular Denomonation for half of my life, and even pastored churches for 23 years BELIEVING WRONG THINGS ABOUT THE BAPTISM. I even preached against this. In March 1999 I RECEIVED THE TRUTH ABOUT THE BAPTISM WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT in the desert of New Mexico. It was not without much difficulty. But that which I once went about to destroy, I NOW DEFEND. And I might also say, I NOW TALK IN TONGUES which I know is THE EVIDENCE of this Baptism. I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT THERE WAS NO MAN PRESENT TO TEACH ME....ONLY THE HOLY SPIRIT. In the desert place, I was in, the Holy Spirit taught me how I had been led down the wrong pathway for so many years. He TOOK ME INTO REVELATION KNOWLEDGE and taught me THE TRUTH OF THE BAPTISM WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT. I received this knowledge AFTER THE FACT that I had been taught by men and even tried to pastor for 23 years. SO I GIVE THE LORD PRAISE FOR HIS FAITHFULNESS TO HELP ME TO UNDERSTAND, AND I GIVE HIM ALL THE GLORY. But I would have you all know that SPEAKING IN TONGUES IS NOT THE BAPTISM but only the EVIDENCE of the fact. There are nine gifts of the Spirit in all. I agree, they are the GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT not mens, and can be given to us by Him as he wills. To those who try to regulate the POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT and keep it from the Church Services should consider this: On the day of Pentecost, 120 believers, Men and Women, were all in the upper room, IN ASSEMBLY, when they ALL SPOKE IN TONGUES AT THE SAME TIME. It was NOISED ABOUT because the suitation broke out and they were taken note of. Now if it is wrong for TONGUES TO BE USED IN ASSEMBLYS than it started wrong and you would have to correct God himself. I said all of that to say this, IF YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT THE RELATIONSHIP THAT TONGUES AND ASSEMBLY'S HAVE THAN WHY NOT ASK THE HOLY SPIRIT AND STOP LISTENING TO MEN. There is a good explination and understanding as to what Paul ment, when He said "I had rather speak in revelation...." If you want to know you CAN KNOW, but let me warn you....MANY PREACHERS THINK THEY KNOW BUT DO NOT. Please Know this one thing, the ENEMY WANTS ALL TO NOT UNDERSTAND and to turn away from this ESSENTIAL BIBLE DOCTRINE because he PLANS TO DESTROY THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE CHURCH by QUINCHING THE HOLY SPIRIT POWER. The devil cannot take away our salvation, SO HE MUST STOP THE SPREADING OF IT. He knows that IF HE CAN KEEP PEOPLE FROM MOVING IN THE POWER HE CAN STOP THE GROWTH. The devil also knows if he can KEEP YOU FROM THIS POWER he can more easily BRING YOU DOWN AND DESTROY YOU. THE BAPTISM WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT GIVES US POWER TO OVERCOME. SO BE CAREFUL NOW WHEN APPROACHING THIS SUBJECT. CONSIDER VERY CAREFULLY THE WORD OF GOD AND ITS TEACHING. If you have been taught by SOME MAN OR RELIGION against this, PLEASE BE NOTIFIED THAT YOU ARE IN TROUBLE.
