Advanced Member Posts: 2,079 Group: Advanced Members Member #4,887 Joined: August 28, 2008	Hi all, I want to share with you all a praise report. My mom has accepted Christ, on July 4! It has been years and years of prayer. My mom was a Catholic, raised us as Catholic as well. But after we grew up she stopped going to church. She had heard the gospel message many times from me and my brother after we accepted the Lord in our 20's. But she kept putting it off, and even had alot of animosity and not pleasant things to say about our new faith. Well, over the last few months she has fallen ill. She is undergoing tests now and we should know the results soon, in a few weeks time. This is looming over my head, but I want to focus more on the positive, in that she accepted Christ. It's been a difficult last couple of months as the thought of life and death, of one's own mortality certainly has caused her to pause and think about her destiny. All week I cried out to the Lord for her soul, praying alot, I was physically exhausted. There was a heaviness this past week, almost as if I felt it was a battle against the spirit of darkness because the gloom, the sadness seemed to envelope me. I literally felt that a big cement block was on my chest and I couldn't breathe. Well Friday night I went to sleep, in my heart I knew she would accept the Lord the next day. I asked the Lord for words to say. The next day was July 4th, we spent an awesome time together. I led her to Christ and she was eager to hear me read the word to her. I just wanted to make a public proclamation and praise report for the Lord's goodness and faithfulness in answering my prayer. Thank you Jesus! Thank you for your mercies and gift of salvation! Also, would you please join me in prayer for my mother's physical healing in her body. Thank you !

My brother and his wife are Catholics, pretty much non-practicing, but Catholic nonetheless.......Poor Ciara didn't know anything about Catholics or otherwise, but she did know she needed Jesus !! Our God is awesome!!

Our God is awesome!! Amen w8n! That's so great! So happy for you and your family. The Lord is so good and it is so encouraging and a burden lifted when family or friends come to know the Lord. The hour is late and the Lord is still at work, the souls are coming in !
