Advanced Member Posts: 523 Group: Advanced Members Member #16 Joined: September 22, 2005	http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/sep2008/clay96.htm "Interested Readers - this October 1 is apparently one of the two days for the Feast of Trumpets - http://www.hebcal.com/holidays/ what interests me about this date, in leap year (which 2008 is) is the day number total for it. the total of all day numbers for October from day 275 (oct 1) through the end of the month = 8990 899 x 10 = 8990 this number 899 has been known to me for quite a while. 899 is the gematria of Strong's greek word 339g anakathizo {an-ak-ath-id'-zo} definition: 1) to raise one's self and sit upright, to sit up, erect *** this would hardly seem to make it notable except for the fact that it is only used twice in the NT and both times it's use is in an account of someone being raised from the dead. in Luke 7:15 the Lord Jesus raises from the dead the only son of the widow of Nain (Beautiful). Luke 7:15 "And he that was dead SAT UP, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother." also in Acts 9:40, Peter prays over the dead body of Dorcas (in the town of Joppa: Beautiful), and God raises her from the dead - Acts 9:40 "But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she SAT UP." *** Rosh Hashanah, the Feast of Trumpets, seems to be known by many names, one of them being The day of the resurrection of the dead. the alignment this year of this feast day(s) with day 275, and the 899 x 10 total seems notable. you can go here: http://bibleprophesy.org/trumpets.htm for an interesting teaching on it, as well as the other names it is known by."

I dont mean to be rude but all of this is based off of a CIVIL calander which is extremely inaccurate. I would suggest the Jewish calander if anything but is still off by hundreds of years.

This site: http://bibleprophesy.org/trumpets.htm has a thorough explanation of Rosh Hashanah, written by a Messianic Jewish Rabbi, Eddie Chumney. It is SO interesting and informative! I saw Rabbi Chumney in person, lecturing on the end times as prophesied in the Old Testament, and it was awesome. I couldn't take notes and keep up with him, it was like trying to take a drink out of a fire hose. After 3 hours, I gave up. I would trust anything about Judaism written by Eddie Chumney.
