Advanced Member Posts: 392 Group: Members Member #4,840 Joined: August 9, 2008	I have noticed since Aug. 15 this board has been very quite. Where is everyone? Our we discouraged, our we waiting, or did they leave? Just wanting some thoughts. I am a little discouraged myself. Not wanting anything bad to happen at the Olympics, but of course if nothing does, then Matthew Stephens and Keith will be false prophets, am I wrong?

It is still a good place to come for sharing the word with like-minded individuals. So don't you run off just because things have slowed a bit. Trust me it will pick up again.

We do have times where things are quiet as Justme said but those times usually dont last to long. I really hope you stay and bless us with your input.

	Time has changed little cause my heart is still grieved. I am very much in pain and do indeed weep for the many tortured souls that are before me at this present time.

"It is a snare for a man to devote rashly something as holy, And afterward to reconsider his vows." Proverbs 20:25 My take as to what is meant by this is that it is NOT FROM GOD when someone declares this is what God has shown me today, and then tomorrow says something different. One day it is true, the next it is not. That ain't cool, and it ain't kosher, and indeed it becomes a trap for us. We really need to put these things before the LORD and use His Word to properly discern what is His truth for us today. Acts 17:11 II Timothy 2:15-16 Deuteronomy 13:1-5; 18:20-22 My question is: What is the REAL REASON you are listening to these so-called prophecies??? If it even came true, what does it mean to you???

I was not so sure this was still the case until I received the gift of speaking in tongues when I was in a time of deep despair. My church told me I was ether possessed by an evil spirit, or doing this "tongues" out emotion. God confirmed through many other believer that what I had received was from Him. So now I believe all gifts are still given today by the Holy Spirit. Though I have not yet found a true prophet...

Here is part of my reply there, based on an experience of God I was given more than 25 years ago: Mary Ellen What God has been reconfirming in me over the last few days is that the reality of what I experienced is true according to my faith (or lack of it) in Him and His promises: my true identity is hidden in Him . . . it is no longer I, but Christ, alive in me . . . whether the veil is there or not. Live as if the veil has been withdrawn permanently. Since that experience long ago, I have desired for the veil to be withdrawn again, but this time forever. I think I read so much about end times and prophecies in the hope that God has given someone else a similar vision with the word that the time is now. I wanted some external "proof" that I could live in that reality again soon. Before Final Call's Aug 15 "deadline date," God asked me in prayer if I was looking for the promise to be fulfilled in some human way. He said the real problem was that I did not TRUST the truth of what He showed me . . . and that deep, abiding faith in Him meant living as if the veil is already removed. Saying as Paul said, "it is no longer I, but Christ, alive in me." And then living that truth by loving others. I believe God lead me here to this forum to read Final Call's posts so that He could "rework" my understanding on this, moving me from seeing it as a "future event" I anticipated, to a "present Eternal Now" truth I should live in and through Him. Strangely enough, the "Final Call Message" confirmed this for me--it IS about Love and living it now. Not about future dates and times. Mary Ellen
