So many times, when reading this board, it is this or that. But mostly doom and gloom. I wanted to post something that was uplifting. I felt to share it because in this time of so much pain and suffering around us, we should also see and hear great things. I hope you will agree. I originally posted this in my blog, but thought I should share it here. Yesterday, I was praying like I normally do. I was laying down on the couch with my eyes closed. My belly was down and my face on the pillow. As I was praying, I got the keen sense that I was laying down next to God. It was warm, free of fear, comforting, quite. I felt like as if I were a child laying down next to a mother, and the mother would sit next to the child and put her arm around her and tell her everything would be ok. Only, in my prayer, I was sitting next to God with his arm around me. I was surrounded by angel wings so much larger than I could ever imagine. And then I was was shown the number 8. I don't know what it means, or what it could be. But it was defiantly the number 8. I have noticed as my walk with the Lord gets closer and closer, He shows me things. Granted, there haven't been that many. Only 3. One has already come to pass. The second I will find out soon. This third, the number 8, baffles me. "And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him." ~ 1 John 5:14, NLT |

The number 8 stands for infinity. It is never ending. Like God's love for us. |

Rahab, I did get the feeling that it wasn't a bad thing. I did not know about that the number 8 stands for infinity. It would make sense... |

8=new beginnings...salvation...fresh start..or the final end and immediate start of a new cycle. The eighth day..Jesus rose again....new birth...ressurection..new life. The eight millenium..eternity officially begins..the eternal kingdom. The eight day after birth..the time of circumcision. |

He meant Yom Rishon (Sunday the first day of the week), is like an eighth day, a new beginning of the week, the day after Shabbat (Saturday the seventh day). Nice and confused now?

Thank you all who replied. I think that in the midst of all the "doom" around here, I think it is also important to mention that the Lord is still working, and still providing comfort in times of need. This is a perfect example of how the Lord is still listening to us and has the time to hold us and make us feel better even though the world is so crazy. |
