Just another endtime sign . . .

2 Peter 3:3
First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires.

There is a movie coming out August 22, called Hamlet 2 and the rest of the title I cannot tell you because it is so offensive to Christians. Interesting timing, though, when we are all on the edge of our seats for the rapture.

In addition to this I saw last week a part of two cartoons that mocked the second coming of Christ. One was "South Park" (I saw the part when I was flipping the channels). The other was "Family Guy". I was watching the Tonight Show with Jay Leno and he had a guest on who represented the cartoon "Family Guy". He brought a clip for all to see which shows Jesus's coming as though He would simply walk on to the Tonight Show, dressed in a business suit, and be interviewed by Jay Leno. It also portrayed Jesus as a mild-mannered hippy.

Guess these people haven't read the Bible. Too bad they are going to miss the rapture and be here for this:

Revelation 6:15-17 (New King James Version)

15 And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, 16 and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17 For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”

Amen to that. Much of what is on t.v. is extremely offensive.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life....... Amen, Come Lord Jesus!

Well, this one's a no-brainer. Don't let your kids watch that garbage on TV. Whatever happened to parental control? Is anyone surprised that the media mocks Christ? Who runs Hollywood? DUH! Trick question right? :frustrated

Come on people/parents. You wouldn't feed your kids rat poison, but who's letting them rot their brains from the poison on TV? They are your kids!!!! There is no way parents can compete with the bombardment hammered at kids from TV. To show that I'm no hypocrite, I got rid of cable and have restricted my viewing to PBS. The rest of my time is spent here on the Internet or in a book. After a couple of weeks, you won't miss it. In all fairness, I don't have kids. So, my hat's off to all of you struggling parents.

As far as mockers in the media, well, God can use their own devices in ways they didn't imagine. There is power in the name of Jesus, itself, so that when people say the name, it does convict them in some way. Putting His name in a movie title just makes certain a few million people are going to be saying the name of Jesus.

But ultimately God judges. We can feel a little bit sorry for the mockers because:

1 Corinthians 1:18
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

What these people really need is prayer.

They also need the message, if they heard the message, with love, they might repent?

By all means, pray; but as for repentance, at this point, realistically, I don't think so. It is why I have so little sympathy for people who choose to mock God, who have grown up in the USA, the same country I grew up in, and have lived in for over 50 years.

This is the biggest country for religious freedom in the world and also for spreading the Christian gospel. The gospel is preached on the airwaves, radio and TV, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Above all the people on the planet, Americans are without excuse when they decide to reject God and mock Him!

Americans have heard the gospel preached from every emotion possible from love to no-nonsense lecture. It is not as though they didn't have every opportunity. Above every person on the planet, many Americans have wilfully rejected the gospel of Christ, therefore rejecting salvation and Heaven for all time.

For this reason, I personally believe when the tribulation starts, this country gets nuked first, after the rapture. That is why there is no evidence of the USA in Bible prophecy. Above all people on the planet, non-Christian Americans have, without a doubt, rejected Christ.

Isaiah 30:13-15 (New King James Version)

13 Therefore this iniquity shall be to you
Like a breach ready to fall,
A bulge in a high wall,
Whose breaking comes suddenly, in an instant.
14 And He shall break it like the breaking of the potter’s vessel, Which is broken in pieces;
He shall not spare.
So there shall not be found among its fragments
A shard to take fire from the hearth,
Or to take water from the cistern.”

15 For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel:
“ In returning and rest you shall be saved;
In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.”
But you would not, . . .

It just appears to me that satan has been spending a long time confusing the issues, since the gospel first began to be preached.

In so doing, this confusion has made it very hard for a normal person to even begin to understand what the basic message is.

If the body of Christ was not so divided, more could be done, in mho.

True, Christians can be divided, and we all have "feet of clay" to some degree. But the apostasy (and confusion) of our times was predicted; great numbers turning away from the Lord before the coming of Christ in the rapture and the antichrist, thereafter. In other words, the falling away first:

2 Thessalonians 2
The Great Apostasy
1 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

After the rapture, the people on earth become even more separated as the evil people become more so, and those who are still destined to salvation begin to wake up:

Micah 7:1-5 (New King James Version)

Micah 7
Sorrow for Israel’s Sins
1 Woe is me!
For I am like those who gather summer fruits,
Like those who glean vintage grapes;
There is no cluster to eat
Of the first-ripe fruit which my soul desires.
2 The faithful man has perished from the earth,
And there is no one upright among men.
They all lie in wait for blood;
Every man hunts his brother with a net.
3 That they may successfully do evil with both hands—
The prince asks for gifts,
The judge seeks a bribe,
And the great man utters his evil desire;
So they scheme together.
4 The best of them is like a brier;
The most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge;
The day of your watchman and your punishment comes;
Now shall be their perplexity.
5 Do not trust in a friend;
Do not put your confidence in a companion;
Guard the doors of your mouth
From her who lies in your bosom.
