A Thunder Of Praise For The Coming Judgments Julie Baxter July 22, 2008 The words of the Father continue to fall like raindrops over the earth words of encouragement, exhortation and comfort. Yet, in this season, the words are often not very encouraging or comforting unless you can see the bigger picture. There is a Judge. This Judge passes judgments, without partiality, giving favor where he will and condemning who he will. The Lord spoke to me and told me to align myself with the truth regarding judgments coming, to fear not, to hold nothing back, and to be generous on every occasion. He spoke that these judgments would come He cannot bless and favor and then not require obedience. Favor and blessing are for obedience He will always repay. The wages of sin is death; incrementally through disease and disorder suddenly through chaos and disaster. Incrementally as we make daily choices to cooperate with the enemy in destroying our body the temple of the Holy Ghost we receive that which we earn. Suddenly as we are in the wrong place at the wrong time because we have not hearkened to His word in our daily lives. The Lord hates sin. He hates wickedness in high places. There are 7 specific things He has spoken that He hates. Do you know them? Proverbs 6:16-19 tells us, There are six things which the LORD hates, yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that run rapidly to evil, a false witness who utters lies, and one who spreads strife among brothers. We need to be ready to be judged for our works and our thoughts and live in a state of complete repentance and constant forgiveness. We need to personally embrace judgment. After all - the one who judges us is in love with us and we with Him. We need to live unoffendable as the unruffled Christ. We need to make sure none of the above things are named among us .more than need to be we must be clean. The Lord spoke and confirmed that He is requiring of His church to be at peace. Even in the midst of war and disaster be at peace. Embrace peace. He also spoke that now before all these things come to pass we must be on our knees for government and local leaderships to embrace truth in their inward beings, to be cleaving to Him, to seek Him daily for wisdom for the coming judgments. Without this many will be destroyed for lack of knowledge. For lack of counselors many will fall. We must offer up a thunder of praise to drown out the enemy! We must also embrace generosity and compassion when the enemy tempts you to hoard and hold back. We are not of this world. We have resources unseen that this world cannot access. We must lay hold of our promises and be as lights as it gets darker and darker. We must offer up a thunder of praise to drown out the enemy! He has given us the right to take dominion in every arena. This is the time to exercise that right, that privilege, that calling. We must not do things the old ways, but be in reverent attitudes of holiness, seeking Him in every situation. Now is not the time to try to identify with the world but hold standards high enough to give them hope. They already know in their hearts the total inadequacy of their philosophies. They cling to them because we have not shown them a higher way. We must lift the banners high. We must emulate the Most High. We cannot afford to do less because eternal souls are at stake. We cannot identify with them nor are we permitted to judge them outwardly by their dress, their speech, their in your face demeanor. They are angry because they have desired truth and not found it. All their searching only makes them angrier. They have found churches that are like empty wells with the flock rallying around the wells as if they were full. They are angry and they hate hypocrisy, religion and the politics of legalistic fervor. Offer up a thunder of praise and drown out the enemy! Now is our chosen moment. NOW is the time for the people of God to move out in faith. Now is the time you have prepared for, sung about, prayed over and sought after. In the coming months and years more and more will be forced by the just Gods holy judgments to examine and justify their lives. Will you be ready to point the way? Will you be shining so brightly you are not hard to find? Will you be strong enough to embrace them, hating even their very garments, and draw them in with cords of love which cannot be broken? Will you? Offer up a thunder of praise and drown out the enemy! Or you be judged for works of the flesh apathy, procrastination, denial, entertainment, and the cares of this life that have stupefied you so that you too no longer hear His voice. Choose this day who you will serve and offer up a thunder of praise and drown out the enemy! Be happy and holy or be satisfied and judged. The floods are coming. Scriptural proof texts: Italics indicate OT quote. * Genesis 18:25 Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right? * John 5:22-24 For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son, so that all will honor the Son even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. * 2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. Psalm 67:1-7 God be gracious to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us. Selah. That Your way may be known on the earth, Your salvation among all nations. Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You. Let the nations be glad and sing for joy; for You will judge the peoples with uprightness and guide the nations on the earth. Selah. Let the peoples praise You, O God; let all the peoples praise You. The earth has yielded its produce; God, our God, blesses us. God blesses us, that all the ends of the earth may fear Him. Psalm 119:73-80 Your hands made me and fashioned me; Give me understanding, that I may learn Your commandments. May those who fear You see me and be glad, because I wait for Your word. I know, O LORD, that Your judgments are righteous, and that in faithfulness You have afflicted me. O may Your loving kindness comfort me, according to Your word to Your servant. May Your compassion come to me that I may live, for Your law is my delight. May the arrogant be ashamed, for they subvert me with a lie; but I shall meditate on Your precepts. May those who fear You turn to me, even those who know Your testimonies. May my heart be blameless in Your statutes, so that I will not be ashamed. Psalm 145:17-21 The LORD is righteous in all His ways and kind in all His deeds. The LORD is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He will also hear their cry and will save them. The LORD keeps all who love Him, but all the wicked He will destroy. My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD, and all flesh will bless His holy name forever and ever. Ecclesiastes 3:17 I said to myself, God will judge both the righteous man and the wicked man," for a time for every matter and for every deed is there. Isaiah 33:22 For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; He will save us. Hosea 14:9 Whoever is wise, let him understand these things; whoever is discerning, let him know them. For the ways of the LORD are right, and the righteous will walk in them, but transgressors will stumble in them. Romans 2:1-11 Therefore you have no excuse, every one of you who passes judgment, for in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. And we know that the judgment of God rightly falls upon those who practice such things. But do you suppose this, O man, when you pass judgment on those who practice such things and do the same yourself, that you will escape the judgment of God? Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance? But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who will render to each person according to his deeds: to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life; but to those who are selfishly ambitious and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation. There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek, but glory and honor and peace to everyone who does good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For there is no partiality with God. 2 Timothy 4:6-9 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing. Hebrews 12:24 For you have not come to a mountain that can be touched and to a blazing fire, and to darkness and gloom and whirlwind, and to the blast of a trumpet and the sound of words which sound was such that those who heard begged that no further word be spoken to them. For they could not bear the command, "If even a beast touches the mountain, it will be stoned." And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, " I am full of fear and trembling." But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel. 1 Peter 2:25 For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps, who committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in his mouth; and while being reviled, He did not revile in return; while suffering, He uttered no threats, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously; and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls. http://etpv.org/2008/atop4tcj.html |
