Universalism was NOT the belief of the early church and Jesus NEVER taught such heresy. The Emergent Church movement is trying to promote this but Universalism (the belief that all humanity, animals and creation will be saved even if they don't accept Jesus as their Lord) is NOT BIBLICAL. I'm sorry that you fear God because of eternal torment, but you don't have to go there! That's what the cross is all about! Everyone gets the choice! No one who is in hell will EVER say that they didn't choose! God is JUST! |

From what I understand, what Mr. Tutt has posted is in reference to Universal Reconciliation, in which that ALL humanity will eventually come to confess that Messiah Jesus is LORD. Philippians 2:10-11 There are many excellent articles listed above, many which I have read and found to have solid biblical truths. This is very different than the secularized univeralism that Waterfall is warning about. |

I don't know what a secularize universalism is, but this post is referring to Universalism, a philosophy that is becoming prevalent in the church today, especially being promoted by the Emergent Church Movement. This has NOTHING to do with every knee shall bow and every tongue confess the Jesus is Lord! They warp that Scripture to suit their own ends! This has to do with BELIEVING the WORD OF GOD and the Bible says their is hell and lots are going there. Shershalom, you need to do some research into this before you bite the bait. |

Rodger has posted this here before and has received the same answer. Go to the once again pinned thread on this topic in this Bible Discussion forum for a detailed discussion on this erroneous doctrine. I am now closing this topic and have also deleted the link in Links in support of this doctrine. |

Thanks, Wil, for taking this out (but it's still here! re-delete!)...........the new little lambs on the board might read this and not read the comments........and be led astray. This false doctrine is very seductive. |
