:awesome God

Guys I REALLY have the need to share this with you. This has NEVER HAPPENED TO ME.

Over a year ago my husband and I were trying to get pregnant. After one month and no success, I went into prayer. I started cramping. And one day I was sitting in church, I had goose bumps, and almost had tears running down my face during one of our songs. I KNOW I hear, "don't worry, he is going to be fine". I thought! GASP! I am pregnant! I told my husband right away. I even thought WOW, he said "HE". I have 2 girls. But to my surprise, a few weeks later, we found I was not pregnant. This left me VERY confused and I wondered if it was even the LORD speaking to me or my mind playing tricks on me.

A few months later I became pregnant with child number 3. Pregnancy was find and we had a son. :baby By this time I had totally forgotten the event that took place so long ago. At 4 months of age we started to think something was wrong. He was not growing like he should. We have taken countless tests, seen nutritionists, and even a G.I. specialist. Just last week, our Doctor told me to stop breastfeeding because it could have something to do with it. Relying on my logic, I said no. This was because he was not taking formula or anything else to replace it. Not because I did not offer it. But because he refused. He is 250 calories short a day. And I felt that if I took that away he would surly get worse. If he DID take the bottle I would have stopped that day. But that is not the case.

I compromised and now only feed him at night. Still no change though. BTW, all the tests have come back negative. Everything is working like it should.

Just now, I was sitting in the bathroom praying. Nothing different in anyway. (I have been praying like mad every chance I get when I am alone. hey I have three kids. Sometimes the bathroom is the only peace I get before bed! :nodding

Then it hit my like a TON of bricks! The conversation I had at church was for NOW! Not then!

Then I had the balls to say, "Lord? Is that REALLY you?" I hear him laughing, "Yes, it is me."

Me: Is that what you meant all that time ago?
Lord: Yes. Go on...try it! (still laughing.)
Me: Lord is that REALLY you? I mean...REALLY...is this REALLY you?
Lord: (Laughing still) Yes, it is me. Now go on. He is fine. Give it a try. (He was talking about stopping the breastfeeding which I never even brought up but it was CRYSTAL clear!)

OH!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it! Oh my LORD you are so wonderful! :praise God

He is 11 months now. He saw the Doctor last week and that is when the doctor said no more breastfeeding. I was in turmoil over it. My son is in our prayer chain at church, and our pastor anointed him with the oil for the sick.

This prayer was just the thing I needed. It was so calming and reassuring. I must say, HE has quite a handsome laugh! Our Lord that is! I am still in shock over this!

I LOVE it when the Lord laughs...so much JOY.

I have had many times He has had a giggle and a chuckle at my questions..and he smiles..laughs a bit..and answers them.

He is so..well.."HUMAN"....but then..he IS Human..AND God.

I love His sense of humour too...He always has a smile and a joke when needed. He may be the LORD of the Universe..But its so easy to feel right at home with him too..like a brother.

He IS..litterally..our big brother.

I never fail to be amazed at how He takes care of our needs, even before we know we have them.

I wish I could hear Him laugh, too...but He never laughs with me. :cry

I do sometimes feel His presence, though, and it feels good.

FC,

I hear you loud and clear! It was like a big brother experience, and I don't even have a brother! It was like HIM taking me under his wings sorta speak, giving me a hug. I saw him smile. It was absolutely amazing. I can't even put it into words.

kgreen20,
That is how I felt until this evening. I have always felt His presence and it felt great.

Pinky,
How much does he weigh? The reason I say this is because the doctors always had my daughter worried about my granddaughter. My granddaughter is just a very petite child. She is 4 now, very smart and fiesty (trust me) but still only 35 lbs. Nothing was wrong with her-that is just who she is.
Jesus is awesome!!!!!!!

Kim,

He is 3 1/2 pounds below the growth chart. He is 11 months old, and weighs 15 pounds. He is very small too. He looks like an average 6month old who is really skinny.

My 2 year old is small too. He only weights 24 pounds. His doctor told me that it wasn't anything to get concerned about because he is still on the growth chart for his age, just on the low side.

:woohoo Congratulations on your alone time with the Lord. Isn't it so worth it :help :king :yes

Would any of you believe me when I say he has already gained 2 ounces? It was hard to put him to sleep. The first bottle he rejected, and he cried. The second time he woke up and from then on, he took the bottle like he had been raised on it. And he drank the whole bottle each time. After he finished, I put him down, awake still, and he grabbed his pacifier, rolled over, and went to sleep. 100% difference!

Oh Pinky,

You talking about your sweet baby is so wonderful for me... it is bringing back all the fun memories of when my 2 children (now 16 and 12) were tiny tots. Ahhh, If only I could turn back time to for just a little while. I loved that age. :) My kids are still wonderful, it's just a little hard these days to get them to sit on my lap and let me rock them to sleep. :)

P.S. I'm praising God with you for your miracle!!!

I know what you mean kamcco.....I miss it sooooooooooooo much. My youngest is 14 and my oldest is 31. My oldest is pregnant with her second (she is the one with the 4 yr old). I went with her to her appointment yesterday and got to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time. Loved it and can't wait to hold that little babe.

I think I've stumbled onto a "chick thread". :lol

Enjoyed the miracle story though and it warms my heart to be surrounded by women who WANT to have babies, are having them, love them and enjoy them!
