Sometimes God has to use an eye opening event in order to open the eyes... The gift He plans to give...will be better recieved if there is a really good reason to NEED it. If He gave it out now few would accept it because they just would not see the "Need".. But when thousands are dying and hungry and the NEED for miracles is clearly apparent.. Then and only then will people hit their knees in contrition and accept the awesome power He wants to give you. The power is NOT for you...its to save others...and in the process it will save you too. One must be looking outwards...and what is coming will make all very receptive to what the Lord has to offer. |

March 9, 2008 This prophecy was given to me, Lorna Couillard in the night; I wrote it down, and sent it to my pastor. I'm waiting to see if other prophets are getting the same kind of message. "Now, Oh California; hear the Word of The Lord. You have passed perverted laws to appress My people, and My little ones. You have made a breach in this land; and between Me and You. One day you will tremble before Me for this. Long after you are no more, My Word will reign over all I have created. You have chosen the wrong god; he will not save you. My hand of protection has now lifted off of you; you have given Me no choice." Note: Since this message was given to me; California has come against home schools, and are in the process of trying to bring severe restrictions against anyone who wants to home school their children; making it almost impossible for the average person. Also, on June 16, 2008 homosexual marraiges are now legal in California. I have a very heavy heart concerning this; and the Lord has said to me over and over again in intercession for California: "do not pray for them anymore". My spirit is torn in two over this. The Lord asked me to repost this; it is clear He is speaking to many about California. |

Well, I don't mean to sound faithless here, but I've always believed that you don't have to check your brain at the door to be a Christian, so it's possible that we will see many true and false revelations on California in the coming days because every Christian who knows the Word knows that California reads alot like Sodom when we see the news reporting on the state. We've heard about the "lying spirit" in this thread and we must test all messages, but to be honest, the message confirmation given was amazing. It is very possible however that people will come with dates and descriptions about California that are just not accurate. I've learned that almost all the time, those believers love God, but they want to hear from Him so bad, that their minds play tricks on them (or spirits do). Most Christians crucify those people after their words fail, but we should uplift them and encourage them to let that go and be a watcher like alot of us who discern words and information given to us. We should sit back on this one and wait and see and really, we should pray for California, that they would repent and that God would use people to reverse that court decision. Maybe God doesn't want us to pray for His mercy for that area, but there's nothing wrong with asking God to move His Spirit there to use believers to save as many as possible before disaster hits. There is still time. |

I live on the opposite side of the country in Vermont, I've lived in New England my entire life. I hold no personal animosity toward anyone there, or the state itself. When I was given this message; it baffled me because I'm so far away from it. When I was awoken by the Lord on the 9th of March, and He began to speak to me about this; my response was "why are you speaking this to me?" The answer I got was "Because you are a chosen servant to me, for my use. I want you to speak this when I say so." In the 30 yrs. I've been used of the Lord; it has been a road like this, and I don't expect it to get any easier untill I'm out of here, and with the Lord in heaven.(I'm truly looking forward to that day) If I have a lying spirit, it will surely be revealed. I've done only what I've been asked to do, and I leave the results to Him. I find no pleasure in speaking or posting this kind of message. But, if we had even a small idea of the grief in God's heart, it cannot be surprising. |

Nightbird, Thank you for being obedient to what you have heard. I, in no way, meant you at this time. Even those who find out they had a "lying spirit" love Jesus dearly. They are being led astray by that spirit. Watchers love to crucify prophets who have a wrong word, but I've learned that sometimes they love Jesus soooo much that their minds play tricks on them too. But I have learned that more than the failed word, it's their heart that God loves and He alone can judge the heart. Whatever comes of your word Nightbird, I know you love Jesus. Perhaps you have scripture to back up this statement? That someone could love truth (Jesus) and be led astray? I find from reading scripture that if you are led astray it is by the wickedness in YOUR heart. Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?” Solomon reiterates the same concept: “the hearts of the children of man are full of evil, and madness is in their hearts while they live” (Ecclesiastes 9:3). "Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires." Romans 8:5 "So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature." Galatians 5:16 "Yet when the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all truth." John 16:13 "Now those who BELONG to the Messiah Jesus have crucified their flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let's also be guided by the Spirit." Galatians 5:24-25 Now perhaps you have scripture to show that a man of God could have two Spirits? A lying Spirit and a Spirit of Truth? |

Thank you Lorna and Dave for your posts. I believe Lorna that what you wrote was from God. Not because it matches what I got but because I tested the word and the spirit behind it and found them to be of the Lord. Dave is right because many people speak out of their minds and not their spirits. Sometimes people speak out of their spirits but because of a root of bitterness etc., their words are tainted. I personally have found that the only way to listen to the Lord "clearly" is to first make sure there is no sin or unforgiveness in my heart. I go before the Lord and make sure my heart is clean before Him (to the best of my ability and understanding). I then make sure that I don't have a personal bias towards an answer from the Lord - if I want to hear a certain answer really bad, then I will probably hear it, but from myself and not the Lord. I have to be neutral with no hidden agenda before I even have a chance to make sure it is the Lord. Then I quiet myself - that can be the hard part. I find the Lord can be faithful during those quiet times by bringing back to remembrance things I have asked Him to remind me of. For example: like remembering the tire pressure on a tire is low, or I need an oil change, or I have to remember to call someone etc. I write them all down and then go back to the Lord and try to quietly listen again. I also have to make sure that deception is not present. I found that by watching TV shows like Survivor (in which deception plays a key part) would sometimes allow an opening in my own life or armor for deception to come in. I also have to try at all times to be as honest as possible. I know someone who almost brags about the lies or deceptions they pull. I tell them that they then wonder why they can't hear God. I then do spiritual warfare against any lying or false spirit that is present (of course, all demons are lying and false spirits). After warfare, I then plead the blood of Jesus over myself and wherever I am. I close off all openings to any spirit not of God. I then spend time quietly resting in the presence of the Lord - i.e. I keep my mouth shut. Only then can I begin to trust that what I hear MIGHT be of the Lord. There is still no guarantee at that point (even after I have done all that I have listed) that what I hear is God. I still have to check what I receive against Scripture and if possible, check it against what others have received. On some of the more weighty issues, I ask of the Lord a dream or vision to confirm what He has given me. Sometimes He gives me one of them right away and sometimes I have to be patient and wait. Sometimes a dream is not enough - I have had hundreds of dreams on some topics as confirmation and I still question whether they are of the Lord. I have learned that you can't take anything for granted. Some of what I hear is so fantastic, that even I have trouble believing it. I gradually open my mind and heart to what I hear but reserve judgment. The only times I have been positive that what I hear is instantly of the Lord is when His glory comes into the room and He starts to share what is on His heart. That happened years ago when He first brought up the fact that He was going to destroy the United States and crush the false church etc. That was the first time He said that only 1% of the people in this country were even technically Christians (as I shared here earlier). I know that some of you question what I get. What I have written above is only PART of what I do in testing before I share things. I have made enough mistakes in the past (especially with timing) to try to be extra careful. Some of what I have written, I have received over a hundred times in prayer. I pray all of the time. Last night, the Lord woke me at 3:22 AM and wanted to talk and I was still awake at 4:38 AM and then He woke me at 6:22 AM and wanted to talk again. I love my quiet times with the Lord, but I don't know if any of you can understand the cost of hearing the voice of the Lord, 24 hours a day, every day. It is a blessing and in some ways, a curse. Only those who hear all the time will understand that point. My heart is heavy to the point of breaking over all of this and what is coming. The Lord is willing to share His heart with any of you - if you are willing to listen and really take the time to be with Him. I have shared here and in the new email format (that I send to those who have responded in email to me) that what I post is only 1% of what He wants to talk about. The heavier topics that are dear to His heart are not for forums like this, where people can tear each other to shreds without a second thought. Please remember, what you post here or elsewhere, can't be erased. We will all stand before the Lord one day and give account of every word we have said or written. I have shared from my heart how I test what I get and how to hear. I hope this helps any of you. I do appreciate the fact that I have met and emailed over 20 of you, who are a real blessing from the Lord. I think it's a matter of lacking discernment, christians have demons talking to us all the time so it can happen, I'm sure you will agree. Dave, thanks for your mature words concerning stoning of those who miss it prophetically, may all take heed. |

Another warning about California, Ed Waldon (Lionspaw here) saw a vision a couple of days ago of a giant wave rushing 50 to 100 miles inland followed by the voice of the Lord repeating loudly 4 times "Get Out Of California!" I think it may be a good idea for all those living there if you haven't done so already to be seeking the Lord on this at this time. |

Americans tend to live in a comfort zone (despite the rash of dire predictions that evidently are here to stay) and we forget that the citizens of the Israeli state have lived literally under the shadow of war and terror for ninety years...
