Finally able to post, tried to sign up several times before things clicked. Praise the Lord of Hosts!! Thanks to all who post with God's leading. I am a humble follower of the Lord Jesus, looking for the last blast of the trumpet. My nickname is Jaybird, but the job title of Hookextractor was given to me in a dream.

Jaybird,

The story behind the dream and your 'given' name or occupation as "HookExtractor" is mysterious and of interest...

Could it be you were told to become a "Fisher of Men" and are concerned of taking the hook out of your "catch"? :big grin

Just curious...

Methuselah, The dreams I experience are Very symbolic in nature, difficult to describe and require study and inspiration to decipher. I've always thought the hooks referred to in my dream are in reference to Ezekiel 38:4. Hooks drawing the unrepentant to Judgement. God has placed me in some frightfully heathen workplaces in the last few years to cut holes on the blackness. A calling not for the weak or faint of heart. By God's Grace, Jaybird.

I agree with the Quaker Oats pitch man...

"It's Better For Thee Than Me"

Well, a clumsy paraphrase, but you get my meaning. I'm sure you're better suited to grapple with the dark side at this point than I am.

More power to ya! :big grin

Methuselah: Just a quick background synopsis. 2 Kings 6:24 thru 7:20 as a scripture reference. My wife and myself with two other couples were quickly and quietly thrown out of a great church gone down the wrong path when we asked for financial accountiability from the pastor ($thousands of tithe money gone). As a result we were stunned and hurt and found ourselves outside the church body, and blacklisted of some sorts. True Christ following churches are not nearby, all have succomed to false teaching. Asking the pastor ( after morning service ) if he believes what is written in the bible is infallible has proven to be a quick way to cut to the chase. The LORD came to me in a dream at this time and ( 2 Kings ) was repeated three times. I read this book over and over looking for the answer. Then I realized that the group of us were the lepers of 2Kings 6, and were outside the gates and could never go back. Then the realization came that the only choices were to stay here and die or go foreward and live. :scared ( Choose this day, life or death, now came into focus!! ) My wife and myself went on alone. We have been attacked and chastized by the enemy but God has fought every battle for us, to GOD be the glory. :awesome God Abandoning our past and following God into battle is a tremendous blessing. God has blessed us greatly, for property that would not sell before, now sold, we live in a beautiful house " that we did not build ". The list is awesome ( and LONG !! ). All because we moved foreward with a do or die abandonment to life. We never gave up on our dreams, just quit living for them! This experience makes cutting holes in the darkness feel like a privelige! Sorry, this got a lot longer than I anticipated, :oops thank you for the patience. J-bird.

Gee, Hookextractor, sounds like the Lord is really rewarding not going the broad path to destruction huh? I believe God prospers His children, but sometimes that prosperity isn't always with material riches. I can sit here in my home and feel such joy unspeakable and full of glory, such peace that passes all understanding, knowing that God will keep my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, just because I cast all my cares on Him. THAT'S RICHES! When I can bless my meals and at the end of the week, it hardly looks like I have eaten anything. God is my source. Jehovah Jireh. That's riches also. When I can ask God to save my kids and teach them his ways now they are grown, and can lay my head on my pillow at night and know they are in His hands....Wow, I am so sorry I took up too much space. But you get the drift. Praise His Holy Name.

Welcome SavedbyGrace! :band

I've been out of it for a few days and didn't want you to think you weren't noticed. :tea time

It's easier to draw responses in the winter time when folks spend more times indoors. :sunny

Of course, there's always the hard core members who head straight for the 'discussion' threads... No time for niceties and all that! :sword

Anyhoo, I just wanted to pop in and let you know how very :welcome you really are here @ ATN.
